What or who inspired you to pursue your major/career?
My interest in data and machine learning began long before college, sparked by my fascination with how data can simplify decision-making. I was especially intrigued by the potential of these technologies in healthcare to enhance diagnostics and treatment. In high school, I explored basic data analysis and machine learning projects, which inspired me to delve deeper into healthcare data and imaging applications. By the time I reached college, I was eager to contribute to real-world solutions in this field, and that passion continues to drive me today.
What is one thing you are proud of achieving in your life?
One accomplishment I’m particularly proud of is organizing a community event to support a local charity. It was a significant project, and I was involved in every step, from planning to execution. Watching our efforts bring people together and make a meaningful impact on the community was incredibly rewarding. It reinforced the power of collective action and the positive difference we can make in each other’s lives.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Two remarkable people in my professional life have been my high school class teacher and my manager at my first full-time job. My teacher helped me recognize my potential and identify my strengths early on, while my manager played a key role in refining my skills for the current market and industry. I particularly value my manager’s guidance, as he has been instrumental in every step of my career. He encouraged me to pursue a master’s degree, helped me build a professional network, and connected me with valuable industry contacts.
Share one professional development goal and one personal goal you have for the upcoming year.
One professional development goal I have for the upcoming year is to deepen my expertise in machine learning applications in healthcare, specifically in analyzing bio-sensor data for patient outcomes. I aim to use this knowledge to create impactful, data-driven solutions. On a personal level, I plan to improve my work-life balance by dedicating more time to hobbies and spending quality moments with family and friends. This balance will help me maintain focus and energy, supporting both my personal growth and professional success.

Tell about an amazing trip you took. Where did you go and what did you enjoy most?
One of my most amazing trips was to Lake Tahoe. The landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and the surrounding mountains made it truly memorable. I especially loved hiking along the scenic trails and taking in the breathtaking views of the lake from different vantage points. Also, i did some things to make myself proud, drove for straight 5 hours + a hilly terrain drive! I fell into the cold lake my first time kayaking, but i got up, decided i am not gonna give up, went back in, and nailed it!
Is there a particular book that made a significant impact on you? What is it and why did it
resonate with you?
A book that made a significant impact on me is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Its message of following your dreams and listening to your heart resonated with me on a personal level. The story’s emphasis on the importance of the journey over the destination, and how the challenges we face help us grow, aligns with my own life experiences. It inspires me to trust the process and remain persistent in the pursuit of my goals, even when the path seems uncertain.
Please share your favorite life lesson quote. How is it relevant to your life?
One of my favorite life lesson quotes is by Maya Angelou: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” This quote deeply resonates with me as it highlights growth, learning, and continuous self-improvement. It encourages me to tackle each challenge with effort and a willingness to learn, while staying humble enough to evolve as I gain new insights. It reminds me that progress, not perfection, is what truly matters, and that every step toward improvement counts.
Is there a person in the world with whom you would love to have a private lunch and why? He/she
might just see this! 🙂
If I could have a private lunch with anyone, it would be with Fei-Fei Li, the renowned AI researcher. Her pioneering work in computer vision and her leadership in advocating for ethical AI are truly inspiring. I admire how she pushes the boundaries of technology while maintaining a focus on human-centered AI. It would be an incredible opportunity to discuss her vision for the future of AI, explore its ethical challenges, and gain insights on how to balance technological innovation with social responsibility.
