What or who inspired you to pursue your major/career?
My career has been profoundly influenced by the inspiration provided by my parents. Throughout my upbringing, they instilled in me a deep appreciation for education and teaching. Their unwavering encouragement and faith in the transformative power of education propelled me to delve into research across various fields. The ongoing advancements and potential impact of education research continue to fuel my motivation. Through coursework, internships, and self-directed learning, I have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to make meaningful contributions to this field.
What is one thing you are most proud of achieving in your life?
I find great pride in leading a mentorship program at a school, where I recognized the value of personalized guidance. Initiating this program allowed me to offer one-on-one mentorship and support to students. Throughout its duration, I observed a substantial improvement in students’ confidence, academic performance, and overall well-being. Contributing to the holistic development of my students has been exceptionally rewarding. This experience not only reinforced my belief in the transformative power of education but also underscored the importance of mentorship in cultivating a supportive learning community.
What keeps you motivated? What maintains your passion for and commitment to the work you are doing?
My motivation stems from a steadfast belief in the transformative potential of learning. I am enthusiastic about providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills for successful navigation in the world. Observing students overcome challenges and recognizing my role in their academic and personal growth are highly gratifying experiences. Books consistently provide inspiration and relaxation for me. Yoga holds a significant place in my routine, contributing not only to my physical well-being but also acting as a mental and emotional reset. Engaging in yoga enables me to nurture mindfulness, alleviate stress, and uphold a harmonious balance between my mind and body.
