Tell us a bit about your backstory and what led you down your current life path.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had this fascination with money. I remember being intrigued by how it worked and how it could shape lives. That curiosity stuck with me as I grew up and eventually led me to study finance in school. Diving into the world of finance only deepened my interest, and now, it’s become a big part of who I am and what I do. My journey has been all about exploring and understanding this fascinating field, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.

What or who inspired you to pursue your major/career?

My decision to pursue accounting wasn’t inspired by a specific person, but rather by a growing appreciation for the role that financial accuracy and organization play in business success. I found myself drawn to the precision and problem-solving aspects of accounting, enjoying the challenge of making sense of numbers and ensuring everything balanced out. It’s the combination of these elements that made accounting a natural fit for me. It’s not about one single inspiration, but rather a blend of interests and skills that led me to this career path.

What is one thing you are most proud of achieving in your life?

One achievement I’m especially proud of is earning my bachelor’s degree. It was a significant milestone that required dedication, hard work, and perseverance. Completing my degree not only gave me a strong foundation in my field but also boosted my confidence and opened doors for my career. It’s a testament to my commitment and the effort I put into reaching my goals, and it’s something I’ll always look back on with pride.

What keeps you motivated? What maintains your passion for and commitment to the work you
are doing?

What keeps me motivated is the constant challenge and growth that my work provides. I thrive on tackling new problems and finding innovative solutions, which keeps each day fresh and engaging. Additionally, seeing the tangible results of my efforts—whether it’s improved financial processes or successful project outcomes—gives me a strong sense of accomplishment. Knowing that my work contributes to the overall success of the organization and makes a real difference fuels my passion and commitment. It’s this blend of challenge, impact, and personal growth that drives me to continually strive for excellence.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

When I think about the people who’ve helped me along my journey, one person stands out—Herbert Moreno. He gave me a solid foundation that I’ve built on ever since, and I’m incredibly grateful for that.

Our paths crossed when I came across an internship opportunity that seemed like a perfect fit for my ambitions. I was eager but uncertain if I’d be able to secure the position. Herbert, who was overseeing the program, agreed to bring me on. That decision marked the beginning of a transformative period in my life.

Under Herbert’s guidance, I learned not just the technical skills necessary for my field, but also the importance of integrity, resilience, and attention to detail. He was more than just a mentor; he was someone who believed in my potential even when I was just starting out. That belief has fueled me ever since, driving me to push boundaries and strive for success in everything I do.

Share one professional development goal and one personal goal you have for the upcoming year.

One professional development goal I have for the upcoming year is to excel in my CPA prep class and successfully pass the CPA exam. This achievement will not only enhance my qualifications but also open up new opportunities in the accounting field, allowing me to provide a broader range of services through my business, QuickFocus Consulting. It’s a critical step toward deepening my expertise and advancing my career, bringing me closer to becoming a leading figure in the finance and accounting industry.

On a personal level, my goal is to achieve a higher level of physical fitness by completing 1 million push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and planks. This ambitious goal is not just about physical health but also about discipline and mental toughness. By committing to this challenge, I aim to build a stronger mindset and a more resilient body, which will benefit me in all areas of life, including my business endeavors. It’s a way to push my limits and see how far I can go when I set my mind to something.
