What or who inspired you to pursue your major/career?

My brother, who’s a marketing executive at a cybersecurity company, inspired me to pursue my career in digital marketing. His passion and the impact he’s made motivated me to follow a similar path. He often shared valuable insights and advice, which fueled my desire to learn more about marketing. Watching his success and dedication encouraged me to strive for excellence in my own career. I’ve definitely looked up to him my whole life!

What is one thing you are proud of achieving in your life?

One thing I am proud of achieving in my life is running a marathon. The journey required immense dedication, months of rigorous training, and unwavering determination. Crossing the finish line was not just a physical victory but a testament to my perseverance and mental strength. The experience taught me the value of setting long-term goals and the importance of resilience. Completing the marathon has inspired me to tackle other challenges in life with the same commitment and drive. I loved eating a whole deep dish pizza afterwards too!

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I’ve been fortunate to have several marketing managers who have taught me invaluable strategies and innovative practices throughout my career. One manager, in particular, made a significant impact. Early on, he instilled in me the importance of a “show, don’t tell” mentality. He emphasized that to prove a marketing strategy’s effectiveness, I needed to back it up with data and thorough creative testing. This approach not only shaped my analytical skills but also reinforced the importance of evidence-based decision-making in marketing.

Share one professional development goal and one personal goal you have for the upcoming year.

My professional development goal for the upcoming year is to further enhance my expertise in data-driven marketing strategies and innovative practices.I aim to complete advanced certifications in marketing analytics and data science. I have enrolled in Linkedin learning courses. A personal goal I have for the upcoming year is to learn how to play an instrument. I have always wanted to learn to play the banjo and I’m hoping to purchase on this year!

Tell about an amazing trip you took. Where did you go and what did you enjoy most?

One of the most amazing trips I took was to Budapest, Hungary. The highlight of my trip was taking a cruise on the Danube River. As the boat gently sailed along the river, I was captivated by the breathtaking views of Budapest’s stunning architecture and landmarks. The cruise provided a unique perspective of iconic sights such as the Parliament Building, Buda Castle, and the Chain Bridge, all beautifully illuminated at night. I also enjoyed tasting the famous Hungarian Goulash!

Is there a particular book that made a significant impact on you? What is it and why did it resonate with you?

One book that made a significant impact on me is Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. This profound work resonated with me deeply because it delves into the human capacity to find meaning in life, even amidst the most harrowing circumstances. This is one of the first books I ever read and I’m reminded every day to be thankful and appreciate life even in the darkest of times. I could not recommend this book enough.

Please share your favorite life lesson quote. How is it relevant to your life?

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill. This quote resonates deeply with me because it encapsulates the resilience and perseverance required to navigate both personal and professional challenges. Running a marathon taught me the importance of pushing through difficult times and staying committed to long-term goals.

Is there a person in the world with whom you would love to have a private lunch and why? He/she might just see this! 🙂

I would love to have a private lunch with Lionel Messi. Messi’s discipline and relentless pursuit of excellence have always fascinated me. Having the opportunity to hear about his experiences, his mindset during pivotal moments in his career, and his approach to overcoming challenges would be invaluable. In my opinion, he is the G.O.A.T.
