What or who inspired you to pursue your major/career?

I was inspired by individuals who have made significant contributions to digital marketing in the Philippines. I joined their community to meet them and gain inspiration, particularly from someone who founded a successful marketing agency. Witnessing their use of social media to expand their brand and engage with followers truly captivated me. They imparted valuable lessons on content creation, engaging with audiences, and the importance of being genuine. Seeing them turn their passion into a thriving business opened my eyes to the potential of social media as a marketing tool. Inspired by their success, I decided to pursue a course in marketing under various mentors, with a focus on digital media. Now, I aspire to assist brands in sharing their stories and reaching their target audiences through well-planned social media campaigns, drawing from the insights I gained from them.

What is one thing you are proud of achieving in your life?

One thing I am incredibly proud of is being able to support my family financially while working as an industrial engineer in the manufacturing industry. Despite the demanding nature of my job, I managed to excel in my role and contribute significantly to my family’s well-being. I took on extra projects and worked long hours to ensure we had financial stability. This experience taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and the importance of balancing professional and personal responsibilities. Now, as I transition into social media marketing, I bring the same level of commitment and perseverance. I am confident that my strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple responsibilities will help me succeed in this new field.

What keeps you motivated? What maintains your passion for and commitment to the work you are doing?

Throughout my career as an industrial engineer, knowing that my hard work contributed to my family’s well-being was a significant driving force. This sense of responsibility and purpose continues to motivate me as I transition into social media marketing. I am passionate about creating content that resonates with people and drives meaningful engagement. The feedback and results from successful campaigns inspire me to keep pushing forward. Additionally, the ever-evolving nature of social media presents constant challenges and opportunities for creativity, which keeps my work exciting and fulfilling.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I owe a lot of my success to the incredible support of my parents and friends, who have always believed in my potential. One memorable story is when I was overwhelmed with the decision to shift from my role as an industrial engineer to a career in social media marketing. My parents sat me down and reminded me of all the challenges I had overcome and the skills I had acquired over the years. My friends, on the other hand, provided practical support, helping me brainstorm ideas for my new career and even connecting me with professionals in the industry. Their collective encouragement gave me the courage to pursue my passion, and their belief in me continues to inspire my commitment to my new path.

But right now im still in the Company and just to earn and after i reach my goals i can go full time as Freelancer.

Is there something exciting you are working on now? What is it and why did you choose to start it?

I am thrilled to be starting as a social media intern at E.R.E., a position I secured after completing several courses with different coaches in the field. This role is exciting because it allows me to apply the skills and knowledge I’ve gained from my studies directly to real-world projects. I chose to start this internship because I am passionate about social media marketing and eager to gain hands-on experience. Working with E.R.E. offers a unique opportunity to learn from industry professionals and contribute to impactful campaigns. I am looking forward to developing my creative and strategic abilities while helping to grow the company’s online presence. This internship is a significant step towards achieving my career goals in social media marketing.

Share one professional development goal and one personal goal you have for the upcoming year.

My goal for the coming year is to get really good at making content and telling stories online. As I start my internship at E.R.E., I want to learn how to write stories that grab people’s attention on social media. To do this, I’ll work on believing in myself more and trying out different kinds of content, even if it’s scary. Personally, I want to be more fearless by doing things that make me nervous, like speaking in public and meeting new people. By facing these challenges, I hope to grow and become more confident in myself, both at work and in my personal life.

Why did you choose to be an intern for Educate. Radiate. Elevate.?

What about the Educate. Radiate. Elevate.’s Purpose, Mission, and Core Values speaks most to you and why?

This holistic and culturally responsive approach ensures that students receive comprehensive support, making a meaningful impact on their lives and communities.

Share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started volunteering.

The most interesting story since I started volunteering is the realization that even though I have knowledge, everything starts from scratch, and there’s always something new to learn. What seemed okay to me might not be okay for others. This experience has been fascinating because it reminds me that I still have a lot to learn, and I’m just at the beginning of my journey.

What do you enjoy most about volunteering?

I love volunteering because it lets me help others and give back to my community. Whether I’m mentoring students or organizing events, it’s rewarding to see the positive impact I can make. And it also let me connect with others who share my passion and gives me a chance to grow personally. It’s an enriching experience that brings me a lot of fulfillment.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy singing, which is a great way to relax and express myself. Watching Korean series is another favorite pastime; I love getting lost in their engaging storylines. I also spend time surfing the internet, keeping up with the latest trends and news. Reading motivational books is something I find particularly rewarding, as they inspire and encourage me to stay positive. These activities help me unwind and stay motivated. They also allow me to balance relaxation with personal growth.

Tell about an amazing trip you took. Where did you go and what did you enjoy most?

An amazing trip I took was to a conference in the Philippines called “TRIBE X.” It’s a gathering for freelancers in the Philippines, similar to a TED Talk. What I enjoyed most was listening to the speakers as they shared their struggles and wins as freelancers. Their stories were incredibly inspiring and motivating. The sense of community and shared experiences made the conference memorable. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn, network, and feel connected to like-minded individuals.

If you were granted three wishes, what would they be and why?

If I were granted three wishes, they would be for great health, great wealth, and the wisdom to use both wisely. First, great health is essential because it allows me to live a long, active, and fulfilling life. Second, great wealth would provide financial security and the ability to pursue my dreams and help others. Finally, I wish for the wisdom to use my wealth for good purposes and to utilize my longevity to make a positive impact on others’ lives. With these three wishes, I could ensure a meaningful life for myself and contribute to the well-being of others. This combination of health, wealth, and wisdom would enable me to live purposefully and compassionately.

Is there a particular book that made a significant impact on you? What is it and why did it resonate with you?

“High 5 Habits” by Mel Robbins had a big impact on me. It shares simple habits that boost confidence and positivity. Celebrating small wins and giving myself a high five each morning has helped me feel more positive and motivated. These habits made me more resilient and optimistic. The book’s focus on self-empowerment and positivity changed how I approach each day.

The road to success is difficult and requires tremendous dedication. What advice would you give to a young person who aspires to follow in your footsteps and emulate your success?

The road to success is indeed challenging and demands tremendous dedication. My advice to a young person aspiring to follow in my footsteps is to always be responsible in all their actions and decisions. Be genuine, as authenticity builds trust and meaningful relationships. Pursue what they love because passion fuels perseverance, even when the going gets tough. Strive to be happy in your journey, not just at the destination, as a positive mindset is crucial for resilience. Finally, always share the blessings you have with others; giving back creates a sense of purpose and fosters a supportive community.

What are you most passionate about? Can you share a story?

I’m passionate about helping others and growing personally. One example is when I volunteered to mentor underprivileged youth at a local community center. Working with them, I saw their growth and it strengthened my dedication to making a positive impact. This experience taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of positive mentorship, contributing to my own growth.
